Introduction
You are about to embark on a top secret mission as a detective for the
American government. The government has intercepted a top secret document
that needs to be decoded. You and your partner will need to go to China
in order to navigate your way through a Chinese scavenger hunt. To solve
the mission you need to find all the valuable information the government
is asking for. If you do not find the information you will be lost in China
forever.
The Task
You are to complete the scavenger hunt by decoding and writing the correct
answers on the top secret document
. This document needs to be printed for each of you. The government will
need this information in order to bring you back to America. If you don't
decode the document the government will not be able to rescue you.
The Process
1. The ambassador (teacher) will assign you a partner.
2. You and your partner will need to read the introduction and the task.
3. Print out the top secret document for each of you.
4. Read through the questions on the top secret document.
5. Decide how you will search for these items in question.
6. Begin your search.
7. You must answer the questions in order. You may not skip around.
8. Do not stop searching until you have found all of the answers, your
ticket back to America depends on it.
9. Once all of the questions are answered you need to turn the document
into your ambassador (teacher).
10. You can not use Ask Jeeves!!

Your grade will be based upon how well you completed the mission and
how you worked as a team.

Conclusion
You have

You not only learned about China, but you also learned how to search the
internet. This is a valuable skill that you will need to know for the rest
of your life.
