If you have read the story The Mitten or TheHat, then you know Jan Brett wrote these stories. She has written many other books you may know. If you would like to learn more about Jan Brett and her stories, you must do some detective work. Put on your detective hat and find out more about Jan Brett.
The TaskYour task is to find this information about Jan Brett. You will need to do five of the nine tasks:

You and your buddy have to do numbers 1, 3, 4, and 7. You need to choose one more task, also.
1. Please find out who Jan Brett went flying with
in her video.
2. Use Jan Brett's web page to find out what number
Hedgie is wearing on his uniform. Be sure to look
in the same place you found
the answer to number one. Clue: Look for a page to color.
3. Jan Brett made a calendar for 1999. Look
to find out what color shorts the mouse is wearing
in the October artwork calendar.
4. Find a word search that Jan Brett
made. You will need to do the word search with your
buddy. The words are from The

5. Make a flag using your name. You will
need find the grid sheet to color your flag. First, write
each letter of your name on

6. Write on your paper two reasons people wear

7. Write a friendly letter to Jan Brett about your
