These are ONLY suggestions, you DO NOT have to use all of them - or none!
The Process
1. Purchase a 3-Ring Binder.
2. Find wedding rings for the bride and groom. Use the Internet or magazines for examples and include the cost.
3. Print the bridal registry form and fill it out. Use the Internet or magazines to find pictures of items you wish to include. These will be placed in your binder after the form.
4. Make a sheet dividing the responsibilities of the bride, the bride's family, groom and groom's family.
5. Next, using the checklist, find the prices of all the items and organize them neatly in your binder. Use magazines or the Internet to show examples of each item.
6. Make another sheet of the wedding pictures. You will need to decide and list what poses you would like taken. Include a final cost and the name of the photographer.
7. You will then need to make a guest list. The list will include your friends and family. Remember to include if they can bring a guest. Make sure you indicate the total number.
8. Make a list of all the flowers
you will need for the wedding and reception. Be sure to give
a description of each arrangement. Give the total cost of the
flowers.
9. Now you need to prepare your ceremony. First
you will start with the vows. Fill out the
vows worksheet
.
10. Locate a church where your wedding ceremony will be held. Make a list of the wedding party. Write the order of walking in and walking out.
11. Refer to the checklist to make sure you include everything in your ceremony.
12. You will need to plan the reception. Fill out the wedding and reception dreams worksheet .
13. Make a diagram of the head table. Include all center pieces and place cards.
14. Refer to the checklist to make sure you include everything in your reception.
15. After deciding on the reception hall you will need to create the menu. You will need to contact the reception hall to determine what they offer. Figure the total cost of per serving and multiply by the number of people attending to get the total cost of the reception.
16. No reception is a party without a DJ. Find one and give the total cost. Make a list of the special dances.
17. Now it's time for the honeymoon. You will need to have a total cost per person and for the entire trip.
18. Now add up your total
costs for each section to figure the total cost of your wedding.
The following
rubric
will be used to assess this project.
Conclusion
I now pronounce you fininshed with your project. Congratulations!
Now you know what goes into planning a wedding. Keep this
binder with you in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, till
the day you are wed.
